Because
of the physical and emotional demands of our sport, our athletes need their parents'
support. The parent's job is to provide an atmosphere of encouragement, support
and patience in which an athlete can develop to his or her potential. Our success
as a team depends upon your role as a parent. Also, remember that the
coach is the coach. If you as a parent have a question with a coach's philosophy,
training, or style, please contact that coach immediately and directly. He or
she will be more than happy to address your concerns. However, discussing these
issues with other parents or with athletes first can often add to the confusion.
